Lace Centre & Museum<\/h3>

The lace museum shows a number of unique pieces of lace from Bruges collections. Displays include the basic techniques and movements, types of lace and their geographical origins. Visitors can watch bobbin lace making demonstrations.<\/p>

The Gruuthuse Museum<\/h3>

\u2018Gruuthusemuseum\u2019 is a mansion that once belonged to the Gruuthuse family, one of the richest in Bruges. The Gruuthuse\u2019s held quite a monopoly over the beer brewing market, and the house still holds many of their treasures from as far back as the 13th century. The Belfort<\/h3>

The Belfry of Bruges \u2013 known as the Belfort \u2013 was built in 1220 and reconstructed after fires many times since. The 366-step climb is worth the effort to gaze at a 360-degree view from above the very centre of Bruges. Standing 83 metres high, on a clear day, you can see all the way to the North Sea.<\/p>

Windmills<\/h3>

4 windmills stand along the park and river that encircles the city. They function as grain mills and their museums can be visited. Saint John\u2019s House Mill is on a hill that offers a beautiful panorama of the city.
